My last Front Porch haul(s) of the Summer!

Good morning!

This is a bittersweet post for me. I love my Front Porch so much. In my short time as a wax addict, I don't think there's ever been a moment where I didn't have at least one four pack of grubbies from Front Porch on its way. Alas, my wax ban has commenced, and I don't have anything else coming from Angie. :( Wax bans are ridiculously hard. After today (I'm getting my RG & CFTKR orders today) I only have Pic, Petals, & Scents I'm waiting on. It's going to be so sad to not get any wax mail until my ban is up August first. The one thing I have to look forward to is my July order from RG, I allowed myself that order in my ban and it's going to be my biggest order EVER! Here's what I've ordered -

Serendipity & Pink Coconut Cream: I was really excited about this blend, but I just saw in Jacqui's YouTube video that the pink coconut cream scent has light to no throw and it mellows out the whole scent. This smells so amazing on cold sniff that I hope this just isn't the case!

Lemon Noel & Pink Grapefruit: You get the pink grapefruit as the predominant note in this one (and it's STRONG!) and it's really great! I think this is my first and only grapefruit scent. The lemon noel is in the background, but I get mostly grapefruit. Really fresh, tart scent.

Amish Friendship Bread: This is an amazing, soothing bakery scent that I just adore. I'm pretty mad that I only got one four pack, but that's okay. A perfect scent. I will always have this is my stash. PERFECT.

Black Raspberry Coffee Cake: I've been positively addicted to coffee scents lately. ADDICTED. This one is really, really great with the raspberry in there! OMG I love this one! I'm going to be re-ordering more of this in the future for sure!

Black Coffee Bread: OMG this one is so, so strong! AMAZING! For me, the stronger the coffee scent, that better. Another I'll be ordering again for sure!

Rainbow Sherbet (x2): The moment I read the description on this one, I knw I had to order two packs. This is a blend of orange, black raspberry, lemon, pineapple, and ice cream. SO GOOD. I'll be melting this very, very soon!

Lemon Bread (x2): This is an absolute favorite scent of mine from Angie EVER. I love her Amish Friendship Bread, and I love her lemon. Together they make a match made in wax Heaven! I got this in a lemon sampler when I first got into wax and fell in love. I got a loaf tart in a RR and had been hoarding it until I got more. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Have a great morning!

Front Porch haul(s) #6

Hello again!

Yep, remember when I said I wasn't allowed to order from Front Porch anymore since I can't shut my FP drawer? Whelp, I failed. BAD. I ordered all this AND I have another chunk melt and four pack on their way right now too. I just can't help it, I love Angie's serendipity blends and her samplers are such a deal! *Sigh* At least with the hot weather coming up I won't be as tempted. :P Here's what I got in my last two orders!

Banana Split: YUM! This is a fantastic banana scent! It's really fresh, and not in a candy banana way. I could smell this all day! I get the creaminess of the ice cream in there as well, I can't put my finger on the rest. It's seriously amazing and I cannot wait to melt these guys! If you see this, snatch it up ladies!

Serendipity Bubblegum: I won't lie, I like this blend WAY better from iheartwax. This one isn't bad, but I don't feel like the bubblegum and serendipity and harmonious together, I feel like they're competing too much. It still smells really good, but it has big shoes to fill! Maybe the bubblegum is overpowering? I'll have to melt this one for a final verdict.

Serendipity Ice Cream: This, ladies, is pure heaven in the shape of ice cream scoops! OMG I could not get over how great these smell when I first got them in the mail! So rich, so creamy, I get smell the ice cream distinctively in there mixed with the serendipity. ON POINT!

Lemon Bliss Serendipity Cookies: Another great serendipity blend here! Mixed with the bakery note of the cookies and the lemon, it's a really great scent!

Blueberry Satsuma: This is a surprisingly nice blend, and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. I don't really like orange scents but I do love satsuma - something about the strength of it's orange scent.

Lemon Sugar Cookie Dough Bread: Lemon? Bakery? You know me, it's perfect!

Lemon Shake Up: I can't put my finger on this one. Lemon, obviously, and perhaps berry? I don't know what the Shake Up part of this scent means, but I know it's got to be fruit.

Strawberry Satsuma: I hate FP's strawberry, so this will be going to a new, happy home!

Lemon Lime: I've gotten this before in a sampler, melted it, and loved it. Glad to get another.

Serendipity Satsuma: I get mostly satsuma in here, but I can't wait to melt it to see if the serendipity comes out more.

Lemon Cookies: Once again - Lemon and bakery? SOLD.

Lemon Satsuma: Nice and fresh citrus scent.

Have a fantastic day!

Front Porch haul(s) #5

Hey ladies!

Okay, okay. I lied. In my last Front Porch haul I posted I said I was cutting myself off from ordering more Front Porch since I drawer is jam-packed full. I fail. I'm cutting myself off from reading their emails, it's all I can do to stop myself LOL! Front Porch is one of my favorite vendors out there, and I just can't help myself. Here's what ordered over the past few weeks to share. Don't judge. :p

Berry Berry Good Buttercream & Lemonberry Crumble Chunk Tarts - These two beauties are the first time I'm finally trying their chunk tarts! I feel like either I wasn't digging the combos they had or all the good ones were always taken. Lemonberry Crumble is one of my favorite scents from FP so this was a no-brainer. These chunk tarts are also HUGE by the way! I think you get a bang for your buck. This smells fresh and fruity.

Lemon Marshmallow & Cotton Candy Cookies - This is so awesome! If I ever see this chunk listed again, I'm snagging a few! Their lemon marshmallow is a little too light of a scent for me, but blended with cotton candy it really comes alive. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Pink Lemonade - Who wouldn't want this scent to melt in the upcoming warm weather? This smells just like the real thing, and I love it! I used to have pink lemonade body products when I was younger, and this really brings me back.

Sweet Lavender Peppermint - Okay, now who could possibly pass up their two favorite bedtime scents blended together? Really kicking myself for not getting more. Self control, Dana. Self control.

Serendipity Cupcakes - I am obsessed with serendipity and FP's is one of the best. Add the bakery scent of cupcakes and this is a SCORE! I cannot wait to melt these. I can't tell you how much serendipity I've ordered lately. :D

Tea Sampler

Wild Cherry Tea - This is an awesome, strong cherry scent! I'm finding I really love cherry scents now, and this one is bangin'!

Iced Tea With Lemon - I already have a four pack of donuts in this one, so I think I'll be passing this one along in either a swap or RR. This is a great lemon tea scent!

Cinnamon Orange Tea - This is a nice, warm, orange tea scent. Really lovely, I can see myself melting this on a cold evening. :)

Mango Tea - This is such an awesome, fruity tea scent! As much as I love it, I'm passing this along to a friend who I know will love it!

Citrus Lavender Tea - I  don't know how I feel on this one, the citrus is very tart and I'm not sure how relaxing of a scent that would be.

Vanilla Apple Tea - Wow this one is great! What a nice, fresh apple scent. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Watermelon Mint Tea - Watermelon and mint I've learned go great together!

Apricot Honey Almond Tea - This is my very first apricot scent and I really like it!

Anyone else get any great new FP?

Front Porch haul(s) #3

Hi again!

I love Front Porch. They get me every time and I feel like I always have something coming in the mail from them! Their restocking emails get me every time, and the fact that they offer free shipping always has me ordering something here and there. Here's two of my last orders to share with you.

Coffee & Cookies: I was really excited when I saw they restocked this one, I had been wanted to try it. It's so good! The main note in here is the cookie bakery, and the coffee is the second, softer note in here. I really like this scent, but I do hope the coffee notes some out more warm.

Whipped Key Lime Pie Frosting: What a great key lime scent! So strong and delicious. I have always loved key lime scents, and this might be one of the best.

Granny Smith Green Apple: This one fell flat for me. The apple isn't strong enough for me and there's an odd perfume note in there that I don't like. I love the donut shape though!

Show Me The Bunny: This is AH-MAZ-ING! I'm so happy I ordered this! I wouldn't mind having another four pack on hand as well. :) A blend of 14-Karrot cake and orange marmalade bread, this is such a rich, creamy blend. Almost good enough to eat!

Mountain Dew Pop: I had to try this one just for the heck of it out of curiosity. It smells pretty good, you get the effervescent note in there for sure.

Have a great day!

Front Porch haul(s) #2

Hello again!

Today I have a culmination of two small Front Porch hauls I placed. I always get emails saying that they've restocked and since it's free shipping, I feel like I always have something on it's way from FP! Let's jump right in, first off I have a sampler I ordered, Pink/Lemon sampler. Here we go!

Pink/Lemon Sampler

Pink Sugar Marshmallow: Oh holy cow this is awesome! The mixture of the pink sugar and the marshmallow blend together PERFECTLY. Really great.

Lemon & Lime: So tart and juicy! I adore lemon and lime scents so this one just right up my alley! Haven't melted it yet since it's curing, but I can already tell I'll need a four pack ASAP.

Pink Sugar Noel: A really smooth and creamy mixture of pink sugar and vanilla bean noel.

Pink Peaches: Wow I really dig FP's peach scent! Mixed with pink sugar, I really, really like this one!

Lemon Marshmallow: Front Porch's lemon scents are SO GOOD and among my faves! I love the have the marshmallow mellows down the lemon and lends it a creamy note. Love!

Pink Grapefruit: Jacqui is a huge fan of grapefruit scents, so this one went as a gift to her.

Lemonberry Crumble: I swear on cold sniff this is one of my new favorite scents EVER. I have a four pack of this too in this haul since she restocked. I'm anxiously awaiting the moment this is cured. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Lemon Cookies: Lemon and bakery? Two of my favorite things in one grubby tart and I'm sold. This whole sampler has been perfect for me and I couldn't be happier!

Lemonberry Crumble four pack: Just couldn't help myself! SO GOOD.

Ultimate Bakery four pack (x 2): I am so obsessed with this scent. When I saw it was restocked I had to grab two. It's just perfect to me. The bakery notes, the notes of apple that make it so fresh. I know it's hit or miss for most, but I will always have this stashed away.

Have a great day, ladies!

What I've Been Melting #2

Hello there!

Today I have my second What I've Been Melting post to share! I feel like I haven't been melting that much since everything I've been melting has been lasting forever! That's a good thing of course, but I have been ordering so much wax that I need to get melting! Here we go!

Better Homes and Gardens: Sugar Sweet Gumdrops - I really wasn't sure if I was going to like this one, but I really enjoyed it! Since I just got into wax, I missed all of the fun holiday scents that came out over the winter. I found a lot on eBay and this one was included. It smells EXACTLY like spice drops candy, I couldn't believe how right on the money it was! I melted two cubes in my 18 watt, medium throw. My bedroom smelled delicious for the entire evening!

CFTKR: Pink Sugared Serendipity - This is yet another reason why CFTKR is probably my top vendor. This one is just as amazing as I knew it would be. I really wish I would have ordered an 8 ounce bag! I have fallen in love with serendipity scents, and adding pink sugar just made this combo a match made in Heaven. I'm actually melting this right now as I type this, throw is medium/strong and I've been melting it on and off for two days now in my tea-light burner - still going strong!

Closet Full Of Wax: Cinnamon Doughnut - I'm torn on this one. I have a whole bag of the mini doughnuts and I loved this on cold sniff so I hope I can find the right blend the next time! I melted one fluted tart in my living room and was melting Coffee Cake Swirl by Scentsationals in my bedroom earlier, so I think there was just WAY too much cinnamon going on in our lil apartment. I really want to try melting this by itself, the cinnamon scent is so strong on the warm throw with this one.

Front Porch: Amish Friendship Bread - This is such a GREAT bakery scent! I am so in love, so creamy and sweet. I've never smelled any other Amish friendship bread scent before, but I love this one! I don't see it available on their site as of now, but you better bet I'm snatching up a four pack or two when it is! Great scent throw, melted in my 18 watt. Lasted the whole day.

CFTKR: Banana Flapjacks - This is a free sample that the generous Carol sent me, and I immediately ordered a bag from her after melting this bad boy. I love banana scents, they're one of my favorites! You get the strong banana and the bakery notes of the flapjacks. Nice, strong throw and it lasted the evening. Really love this one!

Ten Digit Creations: Lavender - This, ladies, is the perfect lavender scent. Ever. My heart is breaking that this is no longer available. I'll be cherishing every last tart! I don't like floral scents AT ALL, but lavender has always been the one exception. TDC's lavender is a nice herbal one, the perfect kind in my opinion! The cold throw on this was so strong, so I knew that I only needed to melt a half of a tart. Man I was right! I melted the half in my bedroom at bedtime and I was such a relaxing scent! I hope they either bring this back or I find another herbal lavender as nice as this.

Scentsationals: Guava Berry - Now this is interesting to me! I've NEVER really like berry scents. I think over the years I've come across a few, but nothing that's memorable. I got this one in a destash, and I was really surprised that I actually wanted to melt this one! I melted only one cube to test the water in my 18 watt, and this had a very fresh scent. I never would have chosen this for myself, but it's really nice.

CFTKR: Frosted Lime Cookie Snap - HOLY COW I'M IN LOVE! Ugh, Carol needs to restock soon, my wish list of scents that aren't available right now is just growing! This is yet another one the lovely Jacqui sent me, and I was saving it just because it smelled so amazing on cold throw! I was right, this is AWESOME! I adore lime and lemon bakery scents. This is perfect. PERFECT. Throw was amazing, it filled my whole apartment, and it lasted on and off for two days.

Better Homes and Garden: Creamy Spiced Eggnog - This is another that I got in that eBay haul, and this one was unfortunately a miss for me. Jeff loves eggnog, so I melted it for him, but even he didn't enjoy it. I melted two cubes in my 18 watt. It had a awkward nuttiness to the scent that just didn't smell good to us. This is going to a much better home, I know someone who would like this.

CFTKR: Coconut Caramel Crunch Cake - I need to re-melt this one. I haven't had a 24 watt hot plate until now, even though I knew I needed one. I just ordered an adorable one from Haley's Heavenly Scents. I wasn't very smart when I melted this one. my tea-light burner had another scent going in it, so I melted this in my 20 watt light bulb and got no throw at all unless I had my head right over it. I'll be re-reviewing it after I get my 24 watt in the mail. The cold throw is light on this one, but I still have hopes it'll come alive!

Yankee Candle: Spiced Pumpkin - Yuck, yuck, yuck. This is the lone pumpkin scent I think I've ever come across that is so gross. The spice in there is just not something I like AT ALL. Strong clove maybe? I melted it in my tea-light and had to dump it right away. YUCK.

COMBO - Closet Full Of Wax: Fruit Loops & Scentsationals: Lemon Chiffon - I've said it before in my Closet Full Of Wax hauls, I'm obsessed with Michele's Fruit Loop scent. It's so amazing, I can't sing it's praised enough! I melted two tarts in my 20 watt, and added one cube of Scentsationals Lemon Chiffon. I am in love with this combo, so glad I'm stocked up on both. SO STRONG, and lasted on and off for THREE DAYS. This is my to-go scent for sure. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Have a great Monday!

Front Porch Haul #1

Hi there!

Front Porch is such a great company and I have fallen in love with so many of the scents. I love that since I'm new to wax, they offer different sampler packs so you can try different scents. I'm always on the look out for what they'll have next, and I love that I get constant emails telling which scents have been restocked. That's how I was able to score more of my beloved Ultimate Bakery! Not to mention their free shipping - nothing beats that. Today I have two samplers to share.

Loopy Sampler

I fell in love so hard with Loopy Marshmallow that I knew I had to have the Loopy sampler! Fruit Loops has easily turned into one of my all around favorite scents.

Black Raspberry Fruity Loops: I normally don't like berry scents, but I really love the juiciness to this raspberry! I'm surprisingly excited to melt this one.

Lime Fruity Loops: Wow, this is GREAT! I love lime and I love Fruit Loops.

Loopy Serendipity: I've been really getting into Serendipity scents lately, and I really enjoy this scent along with Fruity Loops. So good!

Blueberry Fruitloops: This one is fantastic! I love the rich, tart blueberry in this! LOVE!

Strawberry Fruity Loops: This is the lone is the Fruity Loops sampler I don't like. Something about FP's strawberry hits my nose wrong. This is going to a much better home.

Lemon Fruity Loops: Another amazing one! I am obsessed with lemon scents and this is just so fresh smelling! So excited to melt this.

Loopy Marshmallow: This is the one that started it all! I really need to get myself a couple of four packs of grubby tarts.

Grape Fruity Loops: YES! Grape scents are awesome, and this one smells like juicy grape salt water taffy! So awesome!

Lavender Sampler

Lavender Sugar Cookie Dough Bread: I know FP's lavender can be hit or miss to some, but I think I might like it! I haven't melted any of these yet, but I do quite like them on cold sniff. Lavender Sugar Cough Dough Bread has a terrific doughy note to it that makes me so excited!

Lavender Vanilla & Oak: This one has a musky vanilla scent to it along with the lavender. Haven't decided on this one yet.

Lavender Love Dare: I love this dupe on a Victoria's Secrets classic! Blended with lavender this is fantastic!

Sweet Lavender & Coconut Creme: Eh. This lavender doesn't smell sweet to me and I don't get very much coconut creme here either. I think this will be going to a better home.

Lavender Mocha: I haven't smelled many coffee/mocha/latte scents yet, but I've really enjoyed the few that I have! This one is so great! I am picture melting this on a Saturday morning. Smells SO good!

Lavender Apple: Front Porch has such a nice apple scent! I never would have thought of blending such a ripe apple scent with lavender, but the end result is worth it! Really great!

Lavender Marshmallow: This one smells, well, exactly how it sounds. The marshmallow is the dominant scent in here, the lavender is a lightness in the background.

Lemon Lavender: Another great one! This lemon has such fresh, clean scent to it. Really nice.

I hope you all have a nice day!

What I've been melting #1

Hello there again!

Today I have my very first What I've been melting post! I've started a melting journal to write down what I've been melting so I'm really excited to get this started! Here we go!

Lasting Scent Candles: Pumpkin Cinnamon Danish - This was the very first thing that I melted when I got that big box of wax from Jacqui! Trust me, it was hard to pick the first! I have always had a pumpkin scent obsession and I REALLY enjoy LSC's pumkin! The creaminess of the pumpkin and the bakery notes made this so great. Melted in my tea light burner and the scent lasted forever! Medium/strong throw. I'm saving my last two LSC pumpkin scents since I love them so much!

Sweet Fixations: Vanilla Buttercream Crunch - This was really just okay to me. I melted half, it wasn't very strong, and I added the other half. It had nice throw, but the scent didn't wow me. I liked the creaminess of the vanilla buttercream, but I just couldn't get the crunch notes in there. Burned in my 18 watt, it lasted a pretty good amount of time. Light/medium throw.

CFTKR: Amish Cinnamon Bread - I let Jeff pick out the second wax I melt from Jacqui's big ol' box of wax and he LOVED this one! It did not disappoint at all! Melted on my 18 watt in our bedroom and it it filled the entire room and had a strong throw! (Our apartment is pretty small, a price to pay to live right by the ocean!) Not overpowering at all. I love spicy bakery scents like these so much, always have always will! This is definitely a repurchase.

Front Porch: Loopy Marshmallow - OMG OMG OMG. This, ladies, is what spawned my Fruit Loop obsession. I have a serious addiction now LOL! This scent is just perfect. Throw was strong, it filled up our whole apartment! FP's blend is just perfect, the mixture of the fruit loop and marshmallow has me in love! I ordered their Fruit Loop sampler and I can't wait to try them all out! I added one cube of Scentsationals Lemon Chiffon, but I'm saving that bad boy for a review on it's down. Melted in my 20 watt. It was a great combo! Repurchase for SURE, over and over and over!

Tiffany Candles: Carmelized Pralines - I don't know if this is the old or new wax, but who cares cause it was great! It was everything I hoped it would be! It had a creaminess to it but also a crunchy note to it that I LOVED! I haven'y placed a Tiffany order yet, but this is going on my to order list! Amazing!  Medium throw. Melted in my 18 watt.

Scentsationals: Coconut Macaroon - I melted two cubes in my 20 watt. I don't know why, just not impressed. I love coconut scents but this one had a waxy artificial smell to it. I think I let this melt *maybe* three hours before I dumped it. Light/medium throw. Might be better blended?

CFTKR: Glazed Cinnamon Donuts - WOWZA! This is so freaking awesome! I need all the cinnamon donut scents thanks to this one! I can't wait to order this is a big bag! It had a light, buttery cinnamon bakery scent with medium/strong throw. Melted in my tea light burner.

Front Porch: Ultimate Bakery - True love in a bakery scent. That's what I have with this scent. It's so awesome that I reordered two grubby tarts four packs! Such a clean bakery scent, I love the notes of apple in there so much! I can't wait to get more in the mail. Had medium throw, lasted a good amount of time. LOVE! I can see myself ordering this again and again and again. 20 watt.

Orchid Lake Candles: Bread & Jam - Pretty straight forward and pretty amazing! Smells exactly like it sounds. Notes of warm baked bread and notes of a wonderfully tart berry (jam). This is a really fun scent! I would love to get my hands on more. Medium throw. Melted in my 18 watt.

Ten Digit Creations: Vanilla Shake - What a relaxing, almost herbal vanilla! I don't get any notes in there that would indicate it being a shake scent, but I really enjoyed it. The scent was light but the throw was good. A great bedtime scent. Melted this in my 18 watt in my bedroom.

Lasting Scent Candles: Peppermint Marshmallow Snow - HOLY COW. THIS IS AWESOME. SERIOUSLY AWESOME. Jacqui had this in her top scents list for 2012 and now I know why! I've always really loved peppermint scents and this one is top notch! Perfect strength of peppermint. Amazing throw and it lasted forever! I turned it on and off for a few days actually and it was still ready to go! Melted in my 20 watt. I wish I had about a dozen more.

Lasting Scent Candles : Creamy Pumpkin Milkshake I love the pumpkin scent in here, but something about the milkshake notes hit my nose in a funny way and I wasn't too crazy about it. I also started melting this right before I fell asleep so I didn't get to really spend time smelling it. It was almost completely gone by the time I woke up and was left with mostly a wax-y smell. Melted in my 18 watt.

CFTKR: Lemon Noel Sugar Cookies: WOW. JUST WOW. One of, if not THE best thing I've smelled since I got into wax. Well, lemon bakery scents in general. I can't get enough of them and I couldn't stop raving about this one! CFTKR's lemon scent is perfection and mixed with Vanilla Bean Noel sugar cookies make it the perfect combination! I'm so glad that I just got a new bag from Carol. Lasted FOREVER. Throw was everything I could ask for. Melted in my 20 watt.

Scentsationals: Vanilla Bean - Yep this was an odd choice for melting alone and not blending it. It's you typical creamy vanilla scent, but I just really wanted a pallet cleanser after everything I had been melting. Melted it in my 18 watt in my bedroom and bedtime. Light scent with light to medium throw.

Sweet Fixations: Lemon Drizzle Bread - O_o I almost have no words. Next to CFTKR Lemon Noel Sugar Cookies, this is one of the best things I've come to smell yet! I got this in a destash, it was only a half tart and MAN was it strong and amazing! I melted this while I had people over and everyone kept saying how much they loved it! I have a couple Sweet Fixations from Jacqui and I can't wait to melt others! (Hello, Red Velvet Cake!) LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Throw was crazy strong for only a half of a tart and it lasted on and off for a couple days. Melted in my 20 watt.

Tiffany Candles: Winter Dream - Once again, don't know if this is the old or new wax. I can't quite put my finger on this one if I really like it or not. I love the spiciness and the mulberry notes, but for whatever reason I don't love it. I like, I just don't love it. Melted two heart-shaped tarts. Medium throw, lasted the length of an evening. Melted in my 18 watt.

Scentsationals: Coffee Cake Swirl - Run, ladies. RUN to your local Walmart and pick as many of these can you can fit in a shopping cart. This is one of Scentsationals brand new scents that just came out and it's AMAZING. A strong cinnamon but not overpowering along with the bakery notes. Melted two cubes in my 18 watt and it was a REALLY strong throw. Seriously. You need this.

Hope you enjoyed my very first What I've Been Melting post!
