What I've Been Melting #8

Happy Sunday!

Today I have a REALLY long What I've Been Melting to share with you. I was extremely sick with a viral infection for the majority of last week, so this is about two weeks of melting saved up. I'm so happy I'm back to feeling better,my lungs were completely screwed up and when I tried melting anything it made my lungs so much worse. :( Here's what I have to share today! Enjoy!

Beezy: Lemon Poppyseed Pound Cake - This tart was hella strong just like all of Beezy's amazing scent shots, but this is the one that screwed my lungs up worse. :( Such a shame I had to dump it since it smells so good! I always stalk John's site, and the next time I see this I'm getting a few! 24 watt hotplate.

Beezy: Oreo Cookies - Beezy has quickly become one of my favorite vendors out there. This was light on cold sniff, but BOY did this come to life when melted! It smells DEAD ON to the classic cookie, and it was strong enough to fill my entire apartment! Started melting in the early afternoon, and this bad boy was still going strong at dinner. Will repurchase for sure! 24 watt hot plate.

Dutch Candle Company: Skittles - I'm always impressed by how strong these little one ounce scent shots are, and this one was bangin'! Smells just like a freshly opened bag of Skittles. If you haven't tried this scent, you need to! So good! 18 watt.

Lasting Scent Candles: Pink Petit Fours - Another great pink sugar scent from LSC! Melted in my 20 watt light bulb warmer in my kitchen and I loved it! I only have about five left from my pink sugar sampler. Sad.

Sugar & Spice: Pink Bananas - Shanna's scent shots are another that have become one of my favorite vendors. It sucks it's such a rat race to buy her wax since it's all RTS now - but I placed an order the other day and I got some great stuff. This was SUCH A strong scent, you get banana as the main note to me, followed closely behind by the pink sugar. Lasted I think about 7 hours. 24 watt hot plate. 

Indulgence by MJ: Monkey Farts - Pretty generic banana scent with a light/medium throw. Eh. 18 watt.

CFTKR: Crunch Berry Crisp - I've had this bag for a while, it never really wowed me before. But, like most paraffin wax, BOY did it come to life when melted! This scent is SOOOOOOOO good! It doesn't smell exactly like the cereal, but that doesn't matter to me since it smells so good! I will be buying a big 8 ounce bag from Carol for sure! 24 watt hot plate. 

CFTKR: Lemon Noel - Anything Lemon Noel from Carol is a must have in my collection for sure, and among my all-time favorite lemon scents EVER. Strong throw, so amazing. I will always have this or it's counterparts at all times! 24 watt hot plate.

Front Porch: Sweet Lavender Peppermint - Hello there, I'd like you to meet my new favorite bedtime scent! This is my two favorite scents to melt in my bedroom at night in one - how could I go wrong?! This helped me relax so much! Melted in my 18 watt. 

Kims: Pumpkin Cheesecake - DUD. I have nothing good to say about it.

The Bathing Garden: Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies - This is quickly becoming a scent that I want to try from every vendor. This one is really nice! A nice, rich, and definitely buttery bakery scent with the lightness of blackberry. I melted this in my 18 watt light bulb warmer and I didn't get the best results, so I think I'll try a different warmer next time.

Little Kitchen Candles: Birthday Fruit Loops - Holy cow I love this blend! I'm sad the LKC is out of business, so when I run out of these I'll have to try it out from another vendor. Melted one sunny tart in my 18 watt and it had a nice medium throw. Seriously - SO GOOD.

Front Porch: Cotton Candy Cookies - I got this in a RR, and I don't know exactly how old it is, but I got such a light scent that it really didn't do anything for me. It was just okay. Melted in my 18 watt.

Rose Girls: Sunny Days - OMG YES! I don't really like orange scents, but I've found that I ADORE satsuma ones! Mixed with strawberry, this really is a cheerful, strong scent. I'm so excited that I have a whole bag on it's way from RG in my recent order. What a great summer scent! 24 watt hot plate.

RG: Streuselkuchen - A great, strong, caramel and spicy vanilla bakery scent. So good, and lasted forever. So glad I have more of this one! 24 watt hot plate.

Combo: Coexist Candle Co. Zucchini Bread & Closet Full Of Wax Peeps - DUD. The zucchini bread smelled sour so I added a little bunny tart sample of Peeps. The marshmallow scent couldn't save this one. DUD.

CFTKR: Hey Sugar - I'm telling you, no one does lemon scents like Carol can. Blows my mind every time! I don't get as much of a bakery lemon as I do a fresh, almost clean lemon. So strong, so amazing! This is on my need to order list for when Carol reopens! 24 watt hot plate.

CFTKR: Blueberry Whitecake - This ladies, is the strongest thing I've ever melted from Carol! I got this in a RR and I loved this blueberry scent when melting! Jeff, however, said it was way too strong and he didn't like the scent. I melted it on & off in my 24 watt hot plate when he was working LOL! 

Combo: Scent Appeal: Pink Malted Milk & CFoW: Sugared Milk - I didn't realized until I melted these how much I love milk scents! Shelby sent me Pink Malted Milk, and I fell in love! I melted both cubes in my 18 watt, and they were strong and awesome! When they started to fizzle I added Sugared Milk and it amped it right back up! I would repurchase both of these scents in a heart beat!

Kitty Cat Wax: Ferris Wheel - This was a huge heart tart and I threw the whole thing in my 24 watt hot plate. I think this is a blend of cotton candy, caramel apple, and funnel cake. But all I get is the spicy bakery notes of the funnel cake really. I liked this scent, but it was too much after about four hours and I had to dump it.

Krazy Candle: Fairy Dust - Got this in a destash. Weird fruity almost soapy scent that had light scent on cold and no scent on warm. Eh.

Haley's Heavenly Scents: Pumpkin Spice Latte - This is another from my recent destash as well, and this was GREAT! I will be ordering this in a six pack of tarts next time I order from HHS! So strong, the pumpkin in there is fantastic, and the spiciness is just divine! Melted in my 24 watt hot plate, lasted for almost eight hours. LOVE.

Sugar & Spice: Pink Lemon Pound Cake - Another home run from Shanna! This is a great blend, the pink sugar being the dominant note in there, followed closely behind by the lemon pound cake. Fantastic, fresh blend! Melted in my 24 watt hot plate, lasted for 6-7 hours I believe? 

Heavenleigh Apothecary: Brownie Batter Bites - Now I have a lot of chocolate scents. A LOT. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to this one! I could eat this wax! So rich, realistic and crazy strong! I love the little brownie shapes and the chocolate sprinkles. Melted on tart in my 18 watt hot plate, smells delicious! 

Sniff My Tarts: Campfire Dessert - I'm actually melting this as we speak! And only one half of the giant chunk Jacqui gave me! This is a blend of chocolate, marshmallow, and graham crackers. This is soooooo strong and soooooo good! It's been melting for 7 hours now and it's still going! I'm so grateful for the SMT she's given me - they all smell so amazing and I cherish them all! 24 watt hot plate.  

CFTKR: Fruit Loops Toasted Marshmallow - Yep. Yet another one that I need to order from Carol! Holy crapola this is amazing! SOOOOOO strong in my 24 watt hot plate, this lasted for about 5-6 hours. So dang good. I only have regular CFTKR Fruit Loops, and this one has just such a great twist!

Front Porch: Buttercream Iced Orange Danish - I know I don't normally like orange scents, but I just wanted to try this one from a destash. I got almost no throw from this, either. Melted in my 18 watt light bulb warmer. 

Front Porch: Yummy Cake Batter - Another from a RR, this one smells like cookie dough to me! A really great bakery scent from Angie, I would buy a four pack of grubby tarts for sure! Melted at bedtime in my 18 watt light bulb and it was pretty much gone in the morning when I woke up.

Closet Full Of Wax: Girls Gone Wild - Really light fruity scent that pretty much did nothing.

The Bathing Garden haul #4

Good Morning! 

I was so flipping excited when Shannon restocked after being gone for quite a while, that I ended up buying seven clamshells in my last order! Two are a favorite of mine that I repurchased, and five I just wanted to give a try! I really love everything in here so much, they're all GREAT summer scents! I can't wait till these bad boys cure. I hear I missed when she had her body scrubs which I've heard raves reviews about. I must try them next time they're around! Here's what I got!

Lavender & Apples: I normally am hit or miss with apple scents, so I was taking a risk ordering this one, but I LOVE it! The apple is soothing with the lavender, not overpowering. They blend perfectly. I can't wait to melt this at bedtime!

Pirate Punch: This is one I'd been wanting to try! I'm really into coconut scents right now with the weather getting warmer. I do get a little pineapple in there, but I get mostly a creamy coconut. This is really nice!

I love the art she puts into her wax! The wax apple and flower on these are too cute, and the glitter adds such sparkle. :)

Chic Summer: This is another I'd been wanting to try. This is SO STINKING GOOD! You get the peaches and strawberries blended perfectly! What a perfect summer fruity scent. Please hurry up and cure! ;)

Pink Sand: I almost got this one a while back, I didn't, and I regretted it. This was a sign! I love pink sugar and I love sun tan lotion scents. So mixed together?! Perfection. I can't think of a better after beach scent for here in Virginia Beach!

How seriously beautiful are these two tarts?! JUST LOOK AT EM! I love the little touches with the raspberry and shell, and all the types of glitters and crumbles.... she really doesn't have to put this much detail but it's just one of the things that makes her tarts so amazing!

Serendipity Cream Pie x2: This is one of my all time favorite scents and one of my favorite serendipity blends EVER. She only had two more in stock, and if she'd had more I would have bought more. Seriously amazing, people.

Summer Melon and Mint: OMG I'm so happy I added this one to my cart at the last minute! The fruits (melon, guava, mango, papaya, and strawberries) and mint are balance perfectly in this one. Perfection. I'll be reordering this again for sure.

Tea W/ Mango & Mint (freebie): I've been crazy into tea scents lately and this one is awesome! You get the tea note in there, along with the blend of mango and mint. It's really calming yet fruity. Really refreshing.

CFTKR May 2nd reopening haul!

Hello there again!

Today I have my haul from Carol's (Candles From The Keeping Room) May 2nd reopening! I didn't get nearly as much as I wanted to, but I was as work when she reopened and since the site was crashing, everything I wanted seemed to be in someone else's cart. Ah well, what I did get in my little order is really great so I won't complain! I also got two destashes with tons of CFTKR so I'll be just fine! ;) Here's what I snagged!

Pink Sugar Key Lime Pie: I was crazy excited about this one, I'd never seen this blend from any other vendor before! It's amazing! My fiance loves it too, he's been really involved with my wax lately. I tells me what he likes and sometimes helps me pick out what to melt. <3 He's so cute. You get the tartness of the key lime pie with the undertones of pink sugar. YUM!

Frozen Margarita: Jeff and I are both HUGE fans of Mexican food and margaritas so I was excited to try this new scent from Carol! I don't think it smells like a margarita, more like a tart lime candy maybe? It's not what I wanted it to be, but it's still great! 

Sugar Milk & Cookie: This was the first thing I knew I had to add to my cart when she opened! I had gotten a sample from Jacqui back when she first got me into wax and I fell in love! Every time I would try to order it was sold out. :( Until now! I was able to snag an 8 ounce bag! I love milk scents lately and this is just perfection with sprinkles! 

Strawberry Cookie: What can I say? Carol has the best strawberry scents out there! I always try to snag a bag or two, and man the rush when she reopened left none still available! At least I got one! Such a great strawberry bakery scent. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Tropical Cookie (freebie): I think it's so cute that Carol included little kitty paw shapes & bags from her kitty Garfield! I think it's even better that I got one in the scent Tropical Cookie, I'd been wanting to try this scent and I had actually tried to order this with the reopening! 

Strawberry Dew (freebie): How does Carol just know? After seeing what others had ordered when I started seeing haul videos, I knew I wanted this effervescent strawberry scent. And Carol sent me one! It's soooo good!

Mint Mango Tea (freebie): I'm crazy into tea scents right now, so this was prefect for me! Really nice, fresh and relaxing.

Papaya Guava Mango (freebie): Nice tropical fruity scent.

Creme Brulee Party Cake (freebie): Really nice creme brulee scent! 

Ultimate Bakery Noel Tester (freebie): This is a huge tart! YUM! Rich, creamy, amazing bakery scent! I LOVE this one!

Lime Lifesaver (freebie): Who can go wrong with a lime candy scent?! SO GOOD!

Heavenleigh Apothecary haul #1

Hello there!

I feel like I've slowed down an insane amount on my wax spending. When I first got into wax a few months back, all I wanted to do was try each and every vendor that was out there. Thanks to destashes and the RR I was in, I've been able to try some of those vendors without placing an order! Don't get me wrong - I will always order from CFTKR, TBG, FP, and Ollie's, but I'm not seeking out new ones to try. Today I have an order I placed well over a month ago from Heavenleigh Apothecary. Back when I ordered I only wanted to place a small order so I got four clamshells that were on sale. The generous part is that I was sent 5 free samples for such a tiny order! So sweet! Here we go!

Tea Party - This is a great chia tea scent! I've been really into tea scents lately so this one is right up my alley. This will be a nice, light scent to melt in my bedroom at bedtime. 

Sticky Buns W/ Caramel Drizzle - This scent is so yum! I love cinnabon type scents and this one is really strong on cold sniff. I really love these types of scents to melt in the morning. 

Field Of Sweet Dreams - The moment I saw this sugar cookie, lavender, and cocomilk blend I knew I had to have it. Such a unique, relaxing blend. So great for bedtime, I don't know if I can let this one cure. :p

Lemon Poppy Pound Cake - This, ladies, is my absolute favorite thing that I got in my order! IT'S SO AMAZING! Crazy strong on cold throw, this is one fantastic lemon bakery scent. I really wish I would have gotten about five more. SOOOOOOO GOOD. Cannot wait to melt.

Thank You! Mystery Tart (freebie) - This is an almost citrus bakery-like scent. I can't quite put my finger on it but it's gooooooood.

Country Berry Corn Cakes (freebie) - This is just such a good blueberry scent! I love the butterfly shapes as well. 

Strawberry Blackberry Bread (freebie) - This is SUCH a yummy berry bakery scent! I love their strawberry scent, so good. Can't wait to melt these little toast pieces! 

Brownie Batter Bites (freebie) - I could just eat these, they smell so much like the real thing! I don't know how they did it! Jeff's the most excited about this one!

Toasted Marshmallow Black Raspberry Vanilla (freebie) - Another great one! This blend is such a fresh yet creamy blend with the raspberry. Yum!

Ava's Country Cupboard haul

Hello again!

Today I have a brand new vendor to me - Ava's Country Cupboard. I heard on one of the Facebook wax groups that this vendor had free shipping over $8, so I thought I'd give them a shot! This is a teen tiny haul, since they're new to me I didn't want to place a huge order. I think I spent about $9. Here's what I got. 

Grandma's Kitchen - This is my favorite of what I ordered. This is a really awesome cinnamon bakery scent that I wish I had gotten a few more of! There's a bit of sweetness in the background, but the cinnamon/spicy notes take center stage. Can't wait till this one cures so I can melt it!

Pink Bread - This one is pretty self explanatory. I'm not normally big on bread scents that have that yeast-y note to them, but this one doesn't seem to. I love the pink sugar in here. Really nice!

Gran's Berry Griddlecakes - This is another really nice scent! You get the bakery of the griddlecakes and the berry notes in there as well. This truly is a great breakfast/morning scent.

Pink Strawberry Bliss - I don't know if I like their strawberry scent, it's just a little too generic/fake smelling. Oh well, the blend with pink sugar makes it better. 

So far I really like what I smell on cold!

What I've Been Melting #7

Hello there again!

Today I have my melts to share, and I'm a little behind! I hope I can remember everything I've melted since it was about a week or two back. :P I've been sick the last few days, so I haven't been able to melt as much. #8 will be lighter on the wax unless I hold on to it and compile it with with following week. Enjoy! 

Combo - CFTKR: Pumpkin Corn Pudding & Sugar Cookie Fluff - Whelp, yep, this is the scent that made me realize that I don't like corn pudding scents. The pumpkin made it a little more tolerable, but the corn-y note in here is just too much for my nose. I added one cookie of Sugar Cookie Fluff and I actually really liked this combo. It toned down the SCP completely, and I can't wait to melt this one on its own! 24w hot plate.

Kims: Serendipity - I know, I know. Kims. But I have so much from her that I ordered and I really want to just use them up and not waste them. They suck in my hot plate, and they suck in my light bulb. The other night I tried melting them in my tea-light in the bathroom and they were AWESOME! I found the perfect way to melt to melt them! I was so excited! I melted one fluted tart of serendipity twice and I loved it both times. A really nice scent! I just wish I wasn't opposed to ordering from Kims again.

Kims: Pink Sugar - Another home run in my tea-light in the bathroom! Nice and strong, a really nice pink sugar scent. I overdid pink sugar back when I got into wax, and I'm right back into it again. LOVE. I need to restock my PS scents for sure!

Scentsationals: Zen - I had seen a YouTube video that this was a really nice dupe of The Kissing Booth's Slow Your Roll that I had just ordered, so of course I was excited to try it out! I know many of you love it, but man I DID NOT. One cube was WAY too strong, way too perfume-y, and gave me a massive headache. As much as I love eucalyptus/spearmint scents, this one was just too much and I'll have to pass it along. 18 watt.

The Kissing Booth: Slow Your Roll - Not this one I LOVE! This is much lighter, minty-er, and more herbal. In other words - AWESOME! One cube was enough and it lasted through the night and still had a little left in the morning. This may be a staple in my wax collection, and I'll be hoarding this clamshell until the next time I place an order. :P 18 watt.

The Kissing Booth: Tough Cookie - I pretty much have to try every lemon bakery scent I find, but this one fell a little flat to me. I threw 2 cubes into my 18 watt, and got almost no scent what-so-ever. From what I could smell when I walked across my room to get closer to the warmer was really great! I don't want to give up on this one yet, I'll try it in my new 24 watt hot plate.  

Scentsationals: My Mom Is Best My Best Friend - Really creamy vanilla scent but I cannot for the life of me remember what! I just remember this being a really great blender. Wish I could remember! :P

Sreetman Candle Company: Pumpkin Souffle - I'm the kind of girl who melts pumpkin scents all year round, so I knew I had to melt this one right away after I got this in a destash. This was was REALLY strong and it had a warm, almost nutty pumpkin scent to it. The only Streetman's I have are from destashes, I really need to place an order. 

Tiffany Candles: Birthday Bash - This a pink fruit loops and birthday cake blend I believe and man it's GOOD. I've been wanting to place a Tiffany's order, and I'm thinking of getting this one in a scoopable! Really strong, lasted over 6 hours if I remember correctly. 

Lasting Scent Candles: Pink Sugared Vanilla - I cherish all of my LSC scent shots, I'm so sad they're closed right now. I'm running into my last little bit from my pink sugar sampler I got a little while back. Runnin' low, ladies! This one was their great PS scent with an almost vanilla frosting scent to it. Really, really great. As always, lasted forever in my 20 watt. *sigh* I miss them.

Crabby Candle Co.: Pink Lemon Squares - This one was awesome! This tiny little one ounce scent shot packed such a punch! I melted this in my 18 watt in my bedroom and it wafted into our hallway. This was such an amazing scent, the next time I order from John, I'm getting a few of these!

Front Porch: Momma's Blueberry Cobbler - What a great blueberry scent, nice and ripe smelling with a light bakery scent to add lightness to the mix. Really great, this lasted for TWO DAYS in my 18 watt and was really strong. This will be a repurchase for sure!

Front Porch: Serendipity Cupcakes - I've been crazy into serendipity scents lately, and I've ordered I think four from FP lately! This one was really great, you get the creaminess of the cupcake scent mixed in there. Melted in my 20 watt and filled my apartment.

Pics, Petals, & Scents: Cucumber Melon & Peppermint Noel - This is such a unique scent and it was great to melt at bedtime. The sweet mint mixed with the cucumber melon is both refreshing and relaxing. I melted one cube at bedtime in my 18 watt. Light(er) scent, but it lasted almost until the morning, it was still lingering when I woke up.

Front Porch: Loopy Serendipity - Two of my favorite scents mixed together? Please and thank you! You get the serendipity as the dominant note, but the fruit loops are definitely there. Really nice blend! Melted in my 18 watt, it lasted for 6-7 hours if I remember correctly. 

Front Porch: Lemon Fruity Loops - To me, fruit loops can smell like a really tart lemon scent - so blended with lemon I basically got a CRAZY strong FL scent! Really yum in my 18 watt.

Ollie's Soaps: Strawberry Bread - I happened to get two little bunny shapes in two different orders, so I melted them together. On cold sniff this was awesome, but warm I got NOTHING. I could barely smell it with my head right over the warmer. Such a shame. 18 watt.

CFTKR: Buttery Cake Bites - This scent is just WAY too buttery for me warm. WAAAAAY too buttery. It almost hurt my nose LOL! I let it melt for about 2-3 hours before I just had to dump it. I feel bad, I thought I was really going to like this on cold! 24 watt hot plate.

Front Porch: Serendipity Vanilla Confusion - Another really nice serendipity blend from FP. The vanilla overpowered the serendipity in some aspects, but it just made it creamier to me. 18 watt.

BeauxSavonsFrais: Sweet Lolli Bread - This was SUCH a sweet, strong scent! I can't put my finger on exactly what's in this scent, but it's one of the sweetest things I've ever smelled! I don't love it now, but I don't hate it. I don't get bread notes either, just crazy sweetness. 20 watt.

Rosegirls: Raspberry Key Lime Pie - THIS IS SO AH-MAZ-ING! I melted this when I first got my 24 watt hot plate, and this was crazy strong, crazy awesome. I normally hate raspberry scents, but I think I'm in a love affair with RG's. Mixed with key lime pie? I'm shooting myself in the foot for not ordering this when they last opened. Lasted for two days easily. :)

Closet Full Of Wax: Lemon Squares - On cold sniff, so good. Melting? DUD. I don't know whhhhhhy this has to suck, I have two other packs of fluted tarts! I'm going to try and melt these in a different warmer I think.

Ollie's Soaps haul #3

Hello there!

It's time again for another little Ollie's Soaps haul! I think it's funny that every single time I order from Ayano I always only order two things. I always seem to catch her open with less then ten things available and only two that I want. I love her wax so much, after I'm off my wax ban I'm making it my goal to place a larger order with her! Here's my tiny little haul.

Brandied Pear - Why don't I have more pear scents?! Seriously?! I remember loving that pear scent from Victoria's Secret so it's no surprise I love this scent as well. On cold these little bread pieces are STRONG! I just got these in the mail so I'll need to let them sure a little longer. I don't think I can wait LOL! SOOOOOOO good.

Raspberry Sangria - I'm so strange with all berry scents other than strawberry so it's always hit or miss with me when I try raspberry. I LOVE THIS ONE! This is the freshest, cleanest raspberry scent I've ever smelled. I will be snatching up this scent from Ayano every single time she stocks it. SO GOOD. 

Honey Bunny (freebie) - I'm just not a fan of this scent at all. I've smelled it from a few vendors now and it's just not for me. Too soapy. I'll pass this along to someone who likes this Lush dupe.

Iced Tea (freebie) - There's an almost floral note to this that I can't quite put my finger on. Not sure how I feel about it. I know that's how most tea  scents are. I'll have to melt it and see.
