Lasting Scent Candles haul #2

Good Morning!

Today I have my little haul of RTS From Lasting Scent Candles when they opened quickly on Mother's Day. I only ordered ten scent shots, and I'm kicking myself now for not getting more than one of a few that I got. Ah well, the two scents I got two of were great choices! I can't wait until they open again, their tarts have become a favorite of mine! Here's what I got!

Blackberry Lime Rock Candy: Ugh this is one I'm so mad I only got one of! This is SUCH A great, tart, sweet blend! I think I get a little more lime than blackberry. So delicious! I will be buying more for sure in the future! YUM!

Island Spun Sugar: This is supposed to be a blend of mangoes, papayas, bananas, and cotton candy but for some reason what I smell the most is watermelon LOL! This is really yum, another I want to order again!

Salted Caramel Latte: WOWZA! This is one crazy strong scent shot on cold throw! Smells absolutely amazing. I love coffee scents, and the stronger the better! It smells exactly like a this salted caramel coffee I always get from Seven Eleven. Amazing, just amazing.

Coconut Cream Pie: This one is pretty light on cold throw, but sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles with coconut scents. Very creamy, will be a great blender!

Coco Lime Cookies: Mouthwatering! That's the first thing that comes to mind. This smells so amazing I want to eat it LOL! SOOOOOOOOO fantastic! It smells like those lime Jell-O bars my aunt used to make. I need about twenty more. TWENTY. At least.

Lemon Sorbet: This is a really nice lemon scent, but I think I'll hold off ordering more right now. I organized my wax by scent instead of vendor and I have a whole drawer with just lemon and lime scents. I can tell what my favorites are indeed! This is really nice though.

Serendipity Rock Candy (x 2): My obsession with serendipity knows no bounds, so I knew I would love this one! I was more than correct - it's amazing! I see this one as being a fast seller, so next time I order I'll have to pick up as many as I can!

Hurricane Punch (x 2): Another one that I just had to order two of! This is a blend of orange, lime, passion fruit, and Grenadine. This is the perfect summer drink indeed! So awesome! I need to make this drink myself now. ;)

Anyone else order from LSC?

What I've been melting #1

Hello there again!

Today I have my very first What I've been melting post! I've started a melting journal to write down what I've been melting so I'm really excited to get this started! Here we go!

Lasting Scent Candles: Pumpkin Cinnamon Danish - This was the very first thing that I melted when I got that big box of wax from Jacqui! Trust me, it was hard to pick the first! I have always had a pumpkin scent obsession and I REALLY enjoy LSC's pumkin! The creaminess of the pumpkin and the bakery notes made this so great. Melted in my tea light burner and the scent lasted forever! Medium/strong throw. I'm saving my last two LSC pumpkin scents since I love them so much!

Sweet Fixations: Vanilla Buttercream Crunch - This was really just okay to me. I melted half, it wasn't very strong, and I added the other half. It had nice throw, but the scent didn't wow me. I liked the creaminess of the vanilla buttercream, but I just couldn't get the crunch notes in there. Burned in my 18 watt, it lasted a pretty good amount of time. Light/medium throw.

CFTKR: Amish Cinnamon Bread - I let Jeff pick out the second wax I melt from Jacqui's big ol' box of wax and he LOVED this one! It did not disappoint at all! Melted on my 18 watt in our bedroom and it it filled the entire room and had a strong throw! (Our apartment is pretty small, a price to pay to live right by the ocean!) Not overpowering at all. I love spicy bakery scents like these so much, always have always will! This is definitely a repurchase.

Front Porch: Loopy Marshmallow - OMG OMG OMG. This, ladies, is what spawned my Fruit Loop obsession. I have a serious addiction now LOL! This scent is just perfect. Throw was strong, it filled up our whole apartment! FP's blend is just perfect, the mixture of the fruit loop and marshmallow has me in love! I ordered their Fruit Loop sampler and I can't wait to try them all out! I added one cube of Scentsationals Lemon Chiffon, but I'm saving that bad boy for a review on it's down. Melted in my 20 watt. It was a great combo! Repurchase for SURE, over and over and over!

Tiffany Candles: Carmelized Pralines - I don't know if this is the old or new wax, but who cares cause it was great! It was everything I hoped it would be! It had a creaminess to it but also a crunchy note to it that I LOVED! I haven'y placed a Tiffany order yet, but this is going on my to order list! Amazing!  Medium throw. Melted in my 18 watt.

Scentsationals: Coconut Macaroon - I melted two cubes in my 20 watt. I don't know why, just not impressed. I love coconut scents but this one had a waxy artificial smell to it. I think I let this melt *maybe* three hours before I dumped it. Light/medium throw. Might be better blended?

CFTKR: Glazed Cinnamon Donuts - WOWZA! This is so freaking awesome! I need all the cinnamon donut scents thanks to this one! I can't wait to order this is a big bag! It had a light, buttery cinnamon bakery scent with medium/strong throw. Melted in my tea light burner.

Front Porch: Ultimate Bakery - True love in a bakery scent. That's what I have with this scent. It's so awesome that I reordered two grubby tarts four packs! Such a clean bakery scent, I love the notes of apple in there so much! I can't wait to get more in the mail. Had medium throw, lasted a good amount of time. LOVE! I can see myself ordering this again and again and again. 20 watt.

Orchid Lake Candles: Bread & Jam - Pretty straight forward and pretty amazing! Smells exactly like it sounds. Notes of warm baked bread and notes of a wonderfully tart berry (jam). This is a really fun scent! I would love to get my hands on more. Medium throw. Melted in my 18 watt.

Ten Digit Creations: Vanilla Shake - What a relaxing, almost herbal vanilla! I don't get any notes in there that would indicate it being a shake scent, but I really enjoyed it. The scent was light but the throw was good. A great bedtime scent. Melted this in my 18 watt in my bedroom.

Lasting Scent Candles: Peppermint Marshmallow Snow - HOLY COW. THIS IS AWESOME. SERIOUSLY AWESOME. Jacqui had this in her top scents list for 2012 and now I know why! I've always really loved peppermint scents and this one is top notch! Perfect strength of peppermint. Amazing throw and it lasted forever! I turned it on and off for a few days actually and it was still ready to go! Melted in my 20 watt. I wish I had about a dozen more.

Lasting Scent Candles : Creamy Pumpkin Milkshake I love the pumpkin scent in here, but something about the milkshake notes hit my nose in a funny way and I wasn't too crazy about it. I also started melting this right before I fell asleep so I didn't get to really spend time smelling it. It was almost completely gone by the time I woke up and was left with mostly a wax-y smell. Melted in my 18 watt.

CFTKR: Lemon Noel Sugar Cookies: WOW. JUST WOW. One of, if not THE best thing I've smelled since I got into wax. Well, lemon bakery scents in general. I can't get enough of them and I couldn't stop raving about this one! CFTKR's lemon scent is perfection and mixed with Vanilla Bean Noel sugar cookies make it the perfect combination! I'm so glad that I just got a new bag from Carol. Lasted FOREVER. Throw was everything I could ask for. Melted in my 20 watt.

Scentsationals: Vanilla Bean - Yep this was an odd choice for melting alone and not blending it. It's you typical creamy vanilla scent, but I just really wanted a pallet cleanser after everything I had been melting. Melted it in my 18 watt in my bedroom and bedtime. Light scent with light to medium throw.

Sweet Fixations: Lemon Drizzle Bread - O_o I almost have no words. Next to CFTKR Lemon Noel Sugar Cookies, this is one of the best things I've come to smell yet! I got this in a destash, it was only a half tart and MAN was it strong and amazing! I melted this while I had people over and everyone kept saying how much they loved it! I have a couple Sweet Fixations from Jacqui and I can't wait to melt others! (Hello, Red Velvet Cake!) LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Throw was crazy strong for only a half of a tart and it lasted on and off for a couple days. Melted in my 20 watt.

Tiffany Candles: Winter Dream - Once again, don't know if this is the old or new wax. I can't quite put my finger on this one if I really like it or not. I love the spiciness and the mulberry notes, but for whatever reason I don't love it. I like, I just don't love it. Melted two heart-shaped tarts. Medium throw, lasted the length of an evening. Melted in my 18 watt.

Scentsationals: Coffee Cake Swirl - Run, ladies. RUN to your local Walmart and pick as many of these can you can fit in a shopping cart. This is one of Scentsationals brand new scents that just came out and it's AMAZING. A strong cinnamon but not overpowering along with the bakery notes. Melted two cubes in my 18 watt and it was a REALLY strong throw. Seriously. You need this.

Hope you enjoyed my very first What I've Been Melting post!

Lasting Scent Candles haul #1

Lasting Scent Candles, you're stinkin' amazing!

Jacqui had sent me about a half a dozen of their scent shots, and they are amazingly strong and smell SO great! (Which makes me sad since all I want to do is melt these and I've heard they need to cure for quite some time. Boo.) When they had their restock I was working a ten hour shift, so I didn't have time to really look through their RTS selections, so I decided to sneak away for a sec and order a sampler. Gah, I love Pink Sugar so much. (Which is a good thing since now I have sixteen scent shots of it now, right?) TAT wasn't too bad, I think it was about a week and a half. They came packaged really well, there was once that the lid came off, but no biggie. Plus they threw in two freebies so that's very generous! Since these all need generous cure time, they all have the strong Pink Sugar note that takes center stage and it's sometimes hard to pick up the other notes in some without using their scent list for the sampler HERE. (Which is still available!)

Pink Licorice Whip: This is a gift for the lovely Jacqui! I know this was an exclusive for this sampler pack. This is the lone licorice scent I've ever smelled, I don't know how I feel about it. The licorice is the dominant note, but you can smell the Pink Sugar in there as well. I know she'll love it! :)

Pink Fruit Lupes: OH WOW!!! Holy cow I'm in love. Since falling in love with the world of wax, I've found that I'm absolutely obsessed with Fruit Loops scents. OBSESSED. Bonus? My fiance loves them as much as I do! I bought a sampler from Front Porch and SIX Closet Full Of Wax double packs of tarts in the scent. I love it mixed with Pink Sugar. I need all the Pink Fruit Loop (Lupe?) scents I see now. Can't wait to melt this one.

Pink Sugared Vanilla: This is a nice, creamy mixture of vanilla, butter cream, and Pink Sugar for sure! I really like this one, it reminds me of frosting. So rich!

Pink Berry Cream: I'm weird about berry smells. Always have been. They just hit me a strange way. I'm trying to melt some to see if it's just certain types that I don't like before I write them off completely. (Although I ADORE blueberry.) THIS is a berry scent that is awesome! I would melt this now if I didn't have to let these cure! I like that the strongest note is the berry, followed by the cream than a hint of the Pink Sugar. I almost think it would be awesome with a hint of chocolate. I would repurchase this if the warm throw is the same as the cold.

Pink Sugar Buns: I like this one! Pink Sugar and a fantastic bakery/donut scent. This is YUMMY! There's a marshmallow note that I can't quite pick up on yet. The bakery note is so great. Another one I can't wait to melt!

Tickle Me Pink: This is okay to me, they list an array of notes is this that just don't settle well together to my nose. Not my thing, but maybe I'll give it a shot.

Pink Sheets: Smells so GOOD. You can definitely smell the musk and blackberries with the Pink Sugar. I hope the chocolate scent comes out more when I melt. I love scents where chocolate isn't center stage. LOVE.

Pink Ocean Air: No scent description here, and along with the obvious Pink Sugar I smell a great perfume! I feel like this is something I would have worn as a teenager! Gah, I can't put my finger on it! Either way, it smells awesome. Great summer scent. There's oil on the top here so this bad boy'll be strong.

Pink Lullabye: Bedtime scent perfection right here! Classic blend of lavender and chamomile blended with Pink Sugar. Smells like a sweeter version of that purple Johnson and Johnson nighttime baby lotion and wash. Can't wait to melt this in our bedroom before bed!

Fuzzy Pink Slippers: No description on this one, either. This is the lone one of the bunch that I REALLY don't like. I DO NOT like laundry type scents at all, and this one is just that. It overpowers the Pink Sugar to me and all I smell are dryer sheets. Maybe I can pass this on to someone who likes laundry notes.

Pink Sugar Melons: Another absolute favorite of the bunch! WOW this is so juice and amazing! I love watermelon candies and scents (but not the fruit, I know. I'm strange.) and this one is so great! Like watermelon taffy! I seriously want to melt this now. I'm new to wax, and dang I don't know how you ladies wait so long to let something cure. Pure willpower I tell you.

Pink Sugar *type*: This one needs no explanation. LSC's Pink Sugar scent is awesome on it's own. Or to blend. Whichever, really.

Pink Sugar Cookie: Another one I just love! (I'm glad there's so many that I am excited about! Samplers can be tricky.) Along with the Pink Sugar note, I love the dough-y vanilla sugar cookie scent to this one. My all-time favorite scents are bakery and cookie scents, so naturally I'm in love.

Pink Petit Fours: Another bakery scent for the bunch. I've never eaten a petit four that I'm aware of, and I think they're little mini cakes. This has much less of a dough-y scent and more of a sweet sugar scent in addition to the Pink Sugar. Haven't decided on this one yet.

Pink Clouds: This scent is describe as Pink Sugar with marshmellow and sugar. I had to look it up, all I could really smell was Pink Sugar and an odd sweetness I couldn't put my finger on. Pretty nice scent though, I hope the scent gets more distinguishable as it cures.

Pink Marshmallow Shortbread: Last but not least we have another bakery winner! So delicious! This one too has oil built up on the top so this one will be strong too! Which is awesome since I'm in love with this scent! Shortbread scents, I need more of you. Love.

I hope you all enjoyed my very first post, make sure to check out Lasting Scent Candles since this sampler is still available.
