Closet Full Of Wax haul #3

Hey there!

Today I have another haul from Closet Full Of Wax to share! Michele was having another great sale, free shipping for orders over $20, so I knew it was time to get some scents I've been wanting to try for a while and try some new ones she had just listed. Michele is really the sweetest, she's so active in her Facebook group page and she ships within a day or two of you placing your order. Everything arrived beautifully in tissue paper and a flat rate box, so shipping envelopes this time! Not to mention she sent me SO MANY free samples this time around! Thank you, Michele! Let me show ya what I ordered. 

Caramel Latte (coffee bean shapes): This is one I had been waiting for Michele to have a sale so I could order! I received this blended with buttercream crunch as a sample from her in my last order and I fell in love. Jeff and I are obsessed with coffee scents, so I was really excited for this one! I'm not disappointed AT ALL either! This scent is PHENOMENAL! AMAZING! Michele's having another sale right now, and I'm thinking about ordering more. :P Caramel Latte is rich, strong, and creamy. I can't say enough great things about this one. Perfection. 

Pumpkin Crunch Pie: Another of my favorites from this order. This is SO GOOD! For as long as I can think back I've loved pumpkin pie scents, and this is one of the best out there I've smelled. It has this really nice spiciness to it along with the crunch notes you get as well. Can't wait to melt this one!

Stuffed French Toast: This one is very light in scent but I think I like it that way! You get the light bakery for the french toast with a hint of cinnamon. I don't think I get any notes of what would be stuffed inside though? This will be a great blender.

Bedtime Bath: I had heard good things about this scent, and man were they right! So relaxing, this smells like Johnson & Johnson Bedtime Bath for babies. I cannnot wait to melt this one tonight. Repurchase for sure! 

Downey Lavender Vanilla: This is another great bedtime scent! I don't know if this smells like Downey, I don't get a laundry lavender. I get a relaxing lavender with vanilla. Another great bedtime scent. I'll need more of this as well.

Trix Are For Kids: I was really excited for this one, but it fell flat for me. I know this is a new scent, so maybe it still needs cure time? I get a light, almost floral-like fruity note. I don't think of Trix at all. I hope it gets better with time.

Capt'N Crunch Berries: Now THIS smells just like the real thing! I really like this one, what a fun scent!

Lemon Squares (x2): This is a repurchase for me, I love this strong lemon bakery scent. Will always get more!

Lavender Ice Cream Scoop Bread (freebie): I LOVE that she included this one in here since I ordered some bedtime scents! This is SO GREAT! Her lavender scent is so great, and the added sweetness from the ice cream scoop bread makes this amazing! I need to order some of this in my next order. (Which, I'm already getting my list together to order. :P)

Sugar Addiction: I knew I had to check out her new Hello Kitty shapes, especially since they some in fun, sweet candy scents! Sugar Addiction is so sweet! The notes I get the most of is a fluffy cotton candy and cherry with tons of sweetness! So good, I love this one!

Pop Rocks Candy: Dead on to the candy I grew up with as a kid, it's really amazing! I love the fizziness Michele captured in this scent, I cannot WAIT to smell this one perform on warm.

Scoopable Wax in Jamaican Me Crazy (freebie): I haven't actually ordered scoopable wax from any vendor yet, but I've been really wanting it! EVERYONE has their own now, so I've had a hard time narrowing it down. This smells so delicious! I get coconut, orange, and a tropical mixture here. This is such a perfect summer scent. I need more of this, it's so good! 

Blushing Peach Vanilla Bean Noel (freebie): Sorry Carol, this might be my new favorite peach scent! The VBN adds a creaminess to one of the freshest peach scents I've ever smelled! Ordering more of this too. These free samples add more to orders every time! Well played, vendors. Well played. :P

Peeps (freebie): This is a nice, light blend of marshmallow and vanilla. This will be a great blender. Bonus = I love this bunny shape!

Chocolate Fudge Cake (freebie): This one is gross. Sorry, Michele. I smells straight up strong plastic. 

Sugared Milk (freebie): I love milk scents, and this one is nice and sweet. Another one that is great for blending. 

Money (freebie): When I saw this I was like "Whaaaaaaaat?!" This smells exactly like "a dirty wad of stripper money" (the words of Jeff LOL!) but I can't even rant on how gross it is since I'm so impressed. A+ for bizarre scents!

What I've Been Melting #2

Hello there!

Today I have my second What I've Been Melting post to share! I feel like I haven't been melting that much since everything I've been melting has been lasting forever! That's a good thing of course, but I have been ordering so much wax that I need to get melting! Here we go!

Better Homes and Gardens: Sugar Sweet Gumdrops - I really wasn't sure if I was going to like this one, but I really enjoyed it! Since I just got into wax, I missed all of the fun holiday scents that came out over the winter. I found a lot on eBay and this one was included. It smells EXACTLY like spice drops candy, I couldn't believe how right on the money it was! I melted two cubes in my 18 watt, medium throw. My bedroom smelled delicious for the entire evening! 

CFTKR: Pink Sugared Serendipity - This is yet another reason why CFTKR is probably my top vendor. This one is just as amazing as I knew it would be. I really wish I would have ordered an 8 ounce bag! I have fallen in love with serendipity scents, and adding pink sugar just made this combo a match made in Heaven. I'm actually melting this right now as I type this, throw is medium/strong and I've been melting it on and off for two days now in my tea-light burner - still going strong!

Closet Full Of Wax: Cinnamon Doughnut - I'm torn on this one. I have a whole bag of the mini doughnuts and I loved this on cold sniff so I hope I can find the right blend the next time! I melted one fluted tart in my living room and was melting Coffee Cake Swirl by Scentsationals in my bedroom earlier, so I think there was just WAY too much cinnamon going on in our lil apartment. I really want to try melting this by itself, the cinnamon scent is so strong on the warm throw with this one. 

Front Porch: Amish Friendship Bread - This is such a GREAT bakery scent! I am so in love, so creamy and sweet. I've never smelled any other Amish friendship bread scent before, but I love this one! I don't see it available on their site as of now, but you better bet I'm snatching up a four pack or two when it is! Great scent throw, melted in my 18 watt. Lasted the whole day.

CFTKR: Banana Flapjacks - This is a free sample that the generous Carol sent me, and I immediately ordered a bag from her after melting this bad boy. I love banana scents, they're one of my favorites! You get the strong banana and the bakery notes of the flapjacks. Nice, strong throw and it lasted the evening. Really love this one!

Ten Digit Creations: Lavender - This, ladies, is the perfect lavender scent. Ever. My heart is breaking that this is no longer available. I'll be cherishing every last tart! I don't like floral scents AT ALL, but lavender has always been the one exception. TDC's lavender is a nice herbal one, the perfect kind in my opinion! The cold throw on this was so strong, so I knew that I only needed to melt a half of a tart. Man I was right! I melted the half in my bedroom at bedtime and I was such a relaxing scent! I hope they either bring this back or I find another herbal lavender as nice as this. 

Scentsationals: Guava Berry - Now this is interesting to me! I've NEVER really like berry scents. I think over the years I've come across a few, but nothing that's memorable. I got this one in a destash, and I was really surprised that I actually wanted to melt this one! I melted only one cube to test the water in my 18 watt, and this had a very fresh scent. I never would have chosen this for myself, but it's really nice.

CFTKR: Frosted Lime Cookie Snap - HOLY COW I'M IN LOVE! Ugh, Carol needs to restock soon, my wish list of scents that aren't available right now is just growing! This is yet another one the lovely Jacqui sent me, and I was saving it just because it smelled so amazing on cold throw! I was right, this is AWESOME! I adore lime and lemon bakery scents. This is perfect. PERFECT. Throw was amazing, it filled my whole apartment, and it lasted on and off for two days.

Better Homes and Garden: Creamy Spiced Eggnog - This is another that I got in that eBay haul, and this one was unfortunately a miss for me. Jeff loves eggnog, so I melted it for him, but even he didn't enjoy it. I melted two cubes in my 18 watt. It had a awkward nuttiness to the scent that just didn't smell good to us. This is going to a much better home, I know someone who would like this.

CFTKR: Coconut Caramel Crunch Cake - I need to re-melt this one. I haven't had a 24 watt hot plate until now, even though I knew I needed one. I just ordered an adorable one from Haley's Heavenly Scents. I wasn't very smart when I melted this one. my tea-light burner had another scent going in it, so I melted this in my 20 watt light bulb and got no throw at all unless I had my head right over it. I'll be re-reviewing it after I get my 24 watt in the mail. The cold throw is light on this one, but I still have hopes it'll come alive!

Yankee Candle: Spiced Pumpkin - Yuck, yuck, yuck. This is the lone pumpkin scent I think I've ever come across that is so gross. The spice in there is just not something I like AT ALL. Strong clove maybe? I melted it in my tea-light and had to dump it right away. YUCK.

COMBO - Closet Full Of Wax: Fruit Loops & Scentsationals: Lemon Chiffon - I've said it before in my Closet Full Of Wax hauls, I'm obsessed with Michele's Fruit Loop scent. It's so amazing, I can't sing it's praised enough! I melted two tarts in my 20 watt, and added one cube of Scentsationals Lemon Chiffon. I am in love with this combo, so glad I'm stocked up on both. SO STRONG, and lasted on and off for THREE DAYS. This is my to-go scent for sure. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Closet Full Of Wax haul #2

Hello there!

Today I have my second haul from Closet Full Of Wax to share with you! When I had placed my first initial order, Michele had accidentally included a two pack of fluted tarts instead of the bag of donuts I ordered. No worries, she apologized and quickly remedied the situation by rushing them to me and including an adorable gift. That's great customer service to me! Onto the wax!

Mini Doughnuts: Cinnamon Doughnuts - I've heard some people say that do not like this cinnamon doughnut smell at all, but I really like it! Strong spicy, cinnamon scents tend to give me a horrible headache and this one doesn't! (I still need to try Tiffany Candle's Donut Shop too, I've heard such amazing things!) They're so dang cute too! I've started to stalk vendors for little mini donut shapes now. Can't wait to start melting these little guys!

Fruit Loops: I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again! I'm OBSESSED with CFOW's Fruit Loop scent. OBSESSED. The scent is pure perfection, the scent is crazy strong, and it lasts forever. I cannot sing enough praise about this wax. I ordered an additional five more fluted tart twin packs, but now I honestly think I should have gotten more.

Hot Cocoa (freebie): This is the gift that Michele sent me for the doughnut mix-up. Cute little teddy bear shapes! I LOVE them! These are in Hot Cocoa, a fake chocolate scent that I actually really love! It smells exactly like one of the scented dolls I had as a child! A bonus? Jeff really loved this one! I'm learning more about what myself and him like in scents, and he loves chocolate and coffee scents. I'm starting to really enjoy them too! Can't wait to melt these, I'm think of blending them with a peppermint or marshmallow scent.

Vanilla Buttercream Caramel Latte: Holy cow I love this one! As I had just explained, I'm keeping my eyes open for good coffee/mocha/latte scents for Jeff, and this one is awesome! (I have Coffee & Cookies on it's way from Front Porch too!) It smells exactly like a fresh, strong latte with the creaminess of caramel. You really need to smell this for yourself to understand how great it is! Michele has coffee bean shapes in a bag, so these will be going in my next order for sure. 

Toasted Marshmallow: I haven't really smelled many toasted marshmallow scents in the past, but there's something about this one I just don't really like. It has notes to it that are sweet, but not marshmallow to me. I'll definitely blend this one. One thing I love? The tart is sprinkled with iridescent glitter!

Girls Gone Wild: Such a great tropical scent! You get the coconut, the berries, and the oranges straight off the bat! So yummy! I will be saving this one for the warmer months, and I can't wait to melt it!

Closet Full Of Wax Haul(s) #1

Hello again!

Yikes. I have bought so much wax that I have to sit down and really think about all that I have coming in the mail. I've only been into wax less then a month. INSANITY! In a good way, of course. Wax has taken over my life. And I love it.

Anyhoo, today I have another haul to share, and it's from a new vendor - Closet Full Of Wax. New vendor to the world of wax, of course. I'm a wax noobie so all vendors are actually new to me. The owner Michele (who is so sweet by the way! There was a teeny tiny mix up in my order and she fixed it ASAP!) is so sweet and for Valentine's Day she was offering free shipping for the month of February! (I totally placed three separate orders. YUP.) My only concern was the shipping. They came packed in shipping bags, not boxes and they arrived pretty banged up. The only one that came actually broken was a free sample and I'll melt the dang things anyway so who really cares, right? I just don't like the dirty looking bags when I haven't had them very long. Let's just move right along to the wax shall we? These are cold sniff reviews only.

Cotton Candy: Sweet and sugary cotton candy scent. Pretty straight forward. I love cotton candy, it reminds me of a lotion I wore back in the 90's. Was it Bonne Bell? Can't remember. I enjoy this one quite a bit.

Honey Bunny: Isn't this the one that's supposed to be a Lush dupe? Honey I Washed The Kids? Straight up soap. That's it. Do not like. I know this is a popular scent, and this is my first time smelling it. I *might* take a leap of faith and melt this in my bathroom. I need to get this from another vendor and compare I think.

Buttercream Crunch: Buttercream Crunch has a nice buttercream scent, a tad on the syrupy smelling in a odd way. Not necessarily bad though. I'll need to melt it to see if that note comes out. Don't get the crunch smell on cold sniff, I hope it comes out warm. I like this one.

Bear Claws: Nom nom nom! SO delicious! The mixture of the bakery/pastery is just awesome! I get the notes of honey and almond the most, with a hint of chocolate. Really excited about melting this one. 

Key Lime Pie: Hmmm. I do not smell key lime pie. I smell tangy lime candy of some sort, but I do not get one teeny hint of pie crust or pie notes. Overly sweet in an awkward way. I smell an almond note in there that doesn't belong. There was oil in the package so I wonder if there's something funky with this batch of these tarts. Weird. 

Lemon Squares: A great one! I am OBSESSED with lemon scents I've come to learn, so I naturally gravitated towards trying this one out. SO YUMMY! I love that the lemon has a perfect tangy smell, and I really wish I would have bought back-ups. Ugh. Wax regrets. 

Birthday Cake (x2): Yummy white cake scent with buttercream frosting. I love a good cake scent and this one is nice. I think this would be really great for blending. Bonus? There's pretty iridescent glitter on these tarts! I enjoyed this one.

Fruit Loops: OMG. This is such a perfect fruit loop scent! I loooove the extra strong lemon note in here that other Fruit Loop scents I've smelled don't have. I am so nuts about Michele's fruit loop scent that I went back and placed an order for five more tart packs while she still had free shipping. Cannot get enough of. LOVE. 

Cinnamon Donuts: My other beloved favorite of my hauls! MAN this is so delicious to me! Most cinnamon scents out there are too harsh/strong for me and give me a massive headache but this is just perfect for my nose. The soft cinnamon notes mixed with the bakery notes are so great. I actually have a bag of mini donuts in this scent on their way to me right now. (She forgot to ship them so is currently sendin them to me.) I can't wait to try more cinnamon donuts scents out there. 

Bare  Naked Lady (freebie): This is surprisingly nice since it's not a scent I would normally order on my own! (Great thing about samples, right?) The mixture of lemon, lime, orange, and ozone (as they listed it, I'm not familiar with that scent) makes this SUCH a great summer scent, it reminds me of the beach! 

Ice Cream Scoop Bread (freebie): Aw man, another one I wish I would have ordered! Once again, thank goodness it was sent to me as a sample! Such a yummy, creamy vanilla ice cream scent, and I definitely get the chocolate chip cookie underneath!

Cotton Candy Serendipity (freebie): Michele NAILED this scent. I need more of this scent for sure. The perfect blend of Cotton Candy and Serendipity. Nothing much more to say other then I'm impressed! Another I wish I had ordered. Awesome.

Fresh Squeezed Orange/Buttercream (freebie): Eh. I don't care for orange scents, but I might give this one a shot. I'm trying to make myself try scents I've never gravitated towards to say that I have indeed tried them and failed. I get a slight hint of buttercream but not really. Just orange. I think I might blend this one. (FYI this is the lone one that arrived broken.)

Black Code: Nope. Nada. Do not like. This is a strong men's cologne that I would never want Jeff to wear let alone have my apartment smell like it. And it's STRONG. (There's oil in the bag too.) NOT FOR ME.
